Academic year 2024/2025
Students enrolled in English-language degree courses in Civil Engineering (international track) and Architectural Design (international track) need to recover th English OFA and to demonstrate their knowledge of the English language by submitting to the Registrar’s Office one of the following certifications, provided they have obtained at least the minimum level indicated below. The TENG English section of the TOL, for students of the English-language degree course in Civil Engineering, and of the ARCHED test, for students of the English-language degree course in Architectural Design, is not sufficient to certify the level of knowledge required.
International certifications are accepted regardless of the year of achievement.

Students who have taken the test at an institute that sends the result to the Politecnico di Milano electronically do not need to submit an original copy of the certificate.
Knowledge of Italian for International students
As of academic year 2021/2022, an Italian language proficiency test is mandatory for international students admitted to all English-language Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) programmes:
- to the Laurea (equivalent to three-year Bachelor of Science) in Architectural Design – EN
- to the Laurea (equivalent to three-year Bachelor of Science) in Civil Engineering – EN
International students will be enrolled with Italian OFA additional educational obligations and must certify that they know the language before sitting the graduation exam and completing their studies.
