Priority will be given to students in ADU and UCAP courses enrolled in the three Design Studios mentioned above:
- Laboratorio di Urbanistica 2 (sezione B), prof.ssa Cristina Renzoni - Prof. Federico Zanfi, Triennale Urbanistica, A.A. 2023-24, II semestre;
- Laboratorio di Urbanistica (sezione B), prof. Arturo Lanzani - Prof.ssa Cristina Renzoni, Magistrale ADU, A.A. 2023-24 e A.A. 2024-25, I semestre.

Descrizione dell'iniziativa

This activity proposes the setup of an exhibition and discussions of works carried out by students within the framework of urban planning projects focused on the themes of the "Lake City" and the territories of Cusio, explored during the academic years 2023-24 and 2024-25. These projects were developed within three urban planning laboratories affiliated with the Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, City, Environment, and Landscape (UCAP – Section B, A.Y. 2023-24), led by Cristina Renzoni and Federico Zanfi, and the Master's Degree in Architecture and Urban Drawing (ADU - Section B, A.Y. 2023-24 and 2024-25), led by Arturo Lanzani and Cristina Renzoni. The activity aims to investigate the territory of Cusio and reflect on urban design as a tool for description, communication, and strategic vision, with the goal of enhancing students' capacity for critical observation and interpretation of socio-spatial phenomena and environmental issues characterizing the observed contexts. The presentation of fieldwork-based projects will allow student groups to test themselves in real locations and issues, engaging with stakeholders and local actors, who will contribute to enriching the work program in collaboration with public administrations and local entities. Project approaches and strategic visions will be discussed and compared. The activity will be organized into three main components:

The setup of an exhibition (at the Omegna Forum, opening June 13, 2025) showcasing the project proposals developed within the three urban planning laboratories dedicated to the Cusio territories, aiming to compare visions and territorial images from a collaborative perspective;

A public seminar (Saturday, June 13, Omegna, Forum of Omegna, from 10:00 to 14:00) involving local administrators, scholars, and experts, dedicated to discussing and presenting the works exhibited in the show;

Review and discussion sessions of the works to be prepared for the exhibition (between May and June 2025).

Calendario

Nella seconda metà del mese di maggio si svolgeranno momenti di revisione e discussione degli elaborati da allestire per la mostra a partire dai materiali prodotti nell'ambito dei tre laboratori di proettazione urbanistica. Tra il 13 e 14 giugno si inaugurerà la mostra presso il Forum di Omegna e si svolgerà un seminario di studi con esperti e stakeholders locali.
